Delayed School Opening Approved For Halloween Festivities In Mendham

The Mendham Township School District Board of Education approved the delayed starts for both township schools.

MENDHAM, NJ — As the Halloween season kicks off this weekend, parents and educators are hoping to avoid students who have a habit of ghosting the day after trick-or-treating.

To combat this, the Mendham Township School District Board of Education has decided to implement a late start on Tuesday, Nov. 1, giving tired trick-or-treaters a few extra hours of rest.

At Mendham Township Elementary School, the school start time has been delayed until 10:45 a.m., while Mendham Township Junior High will begin a little earlier, at 10:05 a.m., according to district officials.
