Dirt Biker Injured In Chester Crash: PD

The man was airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

CHESTER, NJ — A dirt biker was injured in a crash on Saturday night and needed to be airlifted to a nearby hospital, Chester police said.

John Mancision, 29, of Yonkers, was riding his dirt bike in the field behind 3 Howell Drive when the crash happened, police said. Mancision lost control of the bike, crashing to the ground; he sustained a "large laceration" to his left thigh, police said.

Mancision could not be moved to a designated medical helicopter landing area because of the nature of his injury, police said. The medical helicopter landed in the field behind 3 Howell Drive, while Mancision was stabilized.

Mancision was taken to Morristown Medical Center for treatment, police said.
