I have always appreciated the impact that community can make on one’s life. Individuals are empowered in strong communities and will in turn help the areas around them thrive. The work a person does to serve the public is important to build and maintain that strength. It has inspired me to get more involved and to serve the people in this town.
If elected, what do you hope to accomplish while serving on the council?
As a borough council member, I will provide an inclusive environment and ensure our residents feel supported by their local government. I have spent considerable time speaking with residents and business owners to learn what they would like from this council. Parents would like safe, clean playgrounds and safe paths to and from school. Entrepreneurs would like a clear path to opening and sustaining businesses that become important parts of this town. Residents would like more open communication between the Borough Council and the community. As Borough Council member, I will work to achieve these goals to help Mendham Thrive
What do you think is the most pressing issue facing residents right now and what do you intend to do about it?
Like many towns, Mendham Borough is trying to balance change while preserving the history that makes it so great. Our current Borough Council is 100% Republican yet less than half of our town is registered Republican. This does not represent the diversity of our community. I will ensure all residents have a voice and their opinions are considered. If elected, I know I will be in the minority party but I truly believe we can work together to honor our rich history and embrace the ever changing world giving our past, present and future the respect they deserve.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence that you can handle this job?
My whole life has been in service to others. I have worked in service industries (I owned my own catering company)and supported projects of all sizes (producing , managing and coordinating for commercials and music videos. in 2020, I started an online yoga studio, For the Love of Yoga, during the height of the pandemic as a service to bring people from all over the country together. It is important to do the work of finding ways to bring our communities together. I have also volunteered on the school level in the HSA and on the town level as a member of the Parks and Recreation Committee.
As a mom of two, an entrepreneur, and a community builder, I have a track record of bringing
people together to get things done. On the council, I will bring that same approach to get results, putting our community before politics.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
