End Of Summer Kids' Fun Run Scheduled For Mendham Township
The kid-friendly triathlon is scheduled for this upcoming weekend and is suitable for kids ages three to twelve.
MENDHAM, NJ — Although many residents said their goodbyes to summer as the season unofficially ended with Labor Day weekend, Mendham has one final family-friendly summer event planned.
Mendham Township Recreation is hosting an End of Summer Kids' Fun Run Triathlon this weekend, Sept. 10, to help kids burn off some summer energy before the new school year begins.
The event is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. and will commence at Town Hall and end at Brookside Beach, according to officials.

There will be three separate age brackets, which are listed below:
- Ages 3-5: Start at 10:30 a.m. (Ages 3-5 will be a 'Parent and Me' event)
- Ages 6-8: Start at 10:35 a.m.
- Ages 9-12: Start at 10:40 a.m.
The race will start at Town Hall, where all participants will first bike to Mendham Township Elementary School and then run one lap around the field behind the school. Once the run is complete, the kids will swim a lap at Brookside Beach.

All participants will receive and medal and free ice cream.
To participate in the event all children must be registered on Community Pass. The registration fee is $15 per child, according to officials.
