Get Ready For A Night of Stargazing In Chester
Get ready to experience the night sky like never before, as Chester Township invites residents to a stargazing event this month.
CHESTER, NJ — Ready to see the stars in a whole new way? Chester Township is inviting residents to join an evening of stargazing this month.
On the evening of May 23, residents of Chester Township are invited to join the Recreation Department at Chubb Park for a free, stargazing event where they can learn about the night sky and get a closer look at the evening stars.
The event will run from 8 to 10 p.m., and attendees are asked to meet behind the pavilion at Chubb Park—an 85-acre facility located on Route 24, just half a mile west of Route 206.

If you don’t have a telescope, don’t worry, the Recreation Department said that they will be providing one for anyone who needs it.
All ages are welcome to attend, with plans to observe a few planets, nebulas, and star clusters throughout the evening.

Although the event is free to all residents, pre-registration is required and can be completed on the township's Community Pass.
In case of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled for the rain date of May 24.
