First Aid Course For High School, College Students In Mendham Thursday
The Mendham First Aid Squad will help incoming and current college students prepare for various medical emergencies in this free course.
MENDHAM BOROUGH, NJ — The Mendham Borough First Aid Squad is inviting current and soon-to-be college students to a training Thursday, which will help prepare them for medical emergencies they may face in college.
The 30-minute "Squad Talk" covers several first aid steps for various scenarios, recommended items for any emergency kit, and how to stay healthy in college.
The Mendham First Aid Squad said this free course is designed to give students some peace of mind if they need medical help, or see someone else needing aid around campus.

"We'll cover everything they need to know to save a life," the organizations aid.
High school juniors and seniors, current college students, and parents are all welcome to attend. The course is at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 16 at the First Aid Squad station (24 East Main St, Mendham, NJ 07945).

Squad members will go over medical care for cuts, scrapes, and sprains; illnesses including colds, the flu, and indigestion; allergic reactions; and when to call 911 versus going to the campus health center. Pizza will also be provided, said the Mendham First Aid Squad.
Attendees are asked to RSVP and include any topics they might want to learn about.
