Former Chester Business Owner, Grandmother Dies At 84

CHESTER, N.J. – Inge Reissmann spent more than a decade living in Chester and launched a business that helped many.
The native of Germany died recently at the age of 84 after a brief illness.
Reissmann and her late husband, Franz, moved to Chester in 1972, where they lived until 1986 upon retiring. The couple founded Reissmann Plumbing & Heating that in 1972.

The couple met at a dance competition and both loved ballroom dancing and vacationing in Cancun, Mexico with friends and family.
Reissmann was an avid tennis player, competing at Fox Chase Tennis Club and continued on in North Carolina after retirement until the age of 76.

She is survived by a son and daughter, and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by her late husband in 1999.
A Celebration of Inge’s Life will be held Wednesday, May 11 at the William J. Leber Funeral Home on Furnace Road in Chester from 6 to 8 p.m., followed by a service at 8 p.m.
