In honor of the convenience chain's 60th anniversary, Wawa is offering customers free coffee of any size Tuesday.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Wawa officially turns 60 on Tuesday, and to celebrate the milestone anniversary, customers can pick up a free coffee to help fuel their day's journey.

Wawa is offering customers a free hot coffee of any size at all of its locations Tuesday, including these local stores around Morris:

  • 350 New Road, Parsippany, NJ 07054
  • 358 State Route 10, Randolph, NJ 07869
  • 28 State Route 10, East Hanover, NJ 07936
  • 767 State Route 15 South, Lake Hopatcong, NJ
  • 370 U.S. 46, Mountain Lakes, NJ 07046

The company has a long history, starting in 1803 as an iron foundry in New Jersey. According to the website, "Toward the end of the 19th Century, owner George Wood took an interest in dairy farming and the family began a small processing plant in Wawa, Pa., in 1902. The milk business was a huge success."

In the 1960s, home delivery of milk declined. So Grahame Wood, George's grandson, began selling dairy products through the first Wawa Food Market in 1964 — hence the 60th anniversary celebration in 2024.
