Kids Triathlon Coming Up In Mendham On Aug. 29

The summer-ending event is for kids between the ages of 3 and 12.

MENDHAM, NJ — Children can bike, run and swim in Mendham Township on one day during a special “End of Summer Kids Triathlon” hosted by Mendham Township’s Recreation Department.

Beginning at Mendham Township's Municipal Building during different time slots per age group on Sunday, Aug. 29, parents are asked to park there, for their child to begin the first triathlon event.

After biking from the Municipal Building with their particular age group to Mendham Township Elementary School, students will run around the school’s field, followed by a lap swim on Brookside Beach.

Activities will vary by age group in terms of number of laps, with children between the ages of three and five taking part in the event in a “Parent and Me” capacity.

Each group starts the triathlon that day at the following times:

Ages 3-5 at 2 p.m.
Ages 5-8 at 2:05 p.m.
Ages 9-12 at 2:10 p.m.

It is a $15 registration fee for each participating child. Click here to register on CommunityPass.

All participants will enjoy ice cream and receive a participation medal.
