CHESTER, NJ — A lighting strike set a tree ablaze and ruptured a gas line in Chester Wednesday afternoon, Chester Police Chief Thomas Williver said.A tree at 8 Ashland Terrace was struck around 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday during the afternoon thunderstorms. Both the tree and a nearby gas line were on fire when officers arrived, Williver said.PSE&amp;G made repairs to the ruptured line, and the Chester Volunteer Fire Department extinguished the tree and ground fires.There was no damage to the home at all, Williver said.
