Low Cost Well Water Testing Kits Available In Mendham Twp
If you have private well water, it's not being tested by the state or the township.

MENDHAM, NJ — Mendham Township is selling low-cost private well water testing kits to residents who get their water from private wells. The kits must be picked up in person.
Homes that get their water from private wells do not have their water tested by any state or local authorities. Mendham is selling test kits for $60 that will look for coliform bacteria and nitrates.
Residents must pick up the kit at the municipal building on Oct. 6 between 9 a.m. and noon. Only cash or checks will be accepted. Residents can return the water samples to the municipal building on Oct. 9 between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m.

Raritan Headwaters will send the samples to a state-certified lab that same day for testing. Results will be provided "promptly," and if any issues are detected, the company will provided information on how to fix it.
