Man Hit, Critically Injured By Car In Chester Township
The 27-year-old pedestrian was hit by a car while assisting a delivery truck driver in backing out of the gas station property.
CHESTER, NJ — A 27-year-old Chester resident was in critical condition as of Monday morning after being hit by a car on Saturday evening, authorities said.
Dilpreet Ghotra, was in the area of the Delta gas station, located at 394 Route 24, assisting a delivery truck driver in backing out of the gas station property, when he was struck by an eastbound car.
According to police, Ghotra suffered multiple, life-threatening injuries, and was taken to Morristown Medical Center by medivac helicopter, where he was listed in critical condition as of Nov. 14.

The driver of the car was a 59-year-old resident of Mendham, police said.
No charges are pending against the driver, and the collision remains under investigation by members of the Chester Police Department and Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.
