MENDHAM, NJ — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

  • If other, job: He also volunteers and runs OEM for Mendham
  • Relationship to nominee: Friend
  • Reason for recognition: He gives so much of his free time to recruit, train and be a volunteer fireman. He also runs OEM and has managed the pandemic beautifully, coordinating efforts to help the sick and elderly. He works seven days per week with town officials and the public.
  • One thing to know: He gives freely of his time. He won a medal of valor many years ago to save a young girl in a fire in a Floral Park, NY. He won a secret service medal after 9/11. There is no end to his public service.
