Math Teacher Stalked, Harassed Student: Morris Co. Prosecutor

The high school math teacher is accused of stalking and harassing a student, officials said.

MOUNT OLIVE, NJ — A Mount Olive math teacher has been charged with stalking and harassing a student, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp said on Wednesday.

Tajinder Tung, 47, from Stewartsville, is accused of stalking and harassing the student both inside and outside of school from sometime in 2017 through May 2019, Knapp said. Tung is a math teacher at the high school.

Officials did not release any additional information about the alleged stalking.

Tung faces one count each of stalking and harassment. He is being held in the Morris County Correctional Facility pending a detention hearing.

The superintendent of the Mount Olive School District, Robert Zywicki, did not immediately respond to Patch's request for comment.
