Mendham Among Best Places To Live In NJ & Country, Report Says
Niche released its annual rankings of the 2023 Best Places to Live in America. Here's how Mendham Township fared:

MENDHAM, NJ — If you're wondering where the best places to live in New Jersey are, Niche.com has got you covered.
Earlier this spring, the website released the 2023 ranking of "Best Places to Live in New Jersey."
The list ranked 228 cities and 17,932 towns and neighborhoods. To compile it, Niche used federal data from the Census Bureau, FBI, Labor Bureau, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as reviews from residents.

Rankings are based on the cost of living, higher education, housing, public schools, diversity, nightlife, etc. Each community is then assigned a grade on an A+-to-D scale.
According to Niche, Mendham Township ranks as the 828th best place to raise a family in America, which doesn't sound like much, but considering it's out of 17,899, that puts it pretty high.

In addition, the township was named the 63rd-best town in the state and the eighth-best place to live in Morris County.
Mendham Township earned an overall A+ ranking with these grades:
- Public Schools: A+
- Crime & Safety: A-
- Housing grade: B
- Nightlife grade: B
- Good for Families: A+
- Diversity: C+
- Jobs: A-
- Weather: B-
- Cost of Living: B
- Health & Fitness: A
- Outdoor Activities: A
- Commute: B-
Niche has been releasing "Best Places to Live" rankings for almost a decade, including more than 18,000 communities in its latest iteration.
Niche.com is designed to connect students to schools and communities.
