MENDHAM/CHESTER, NJ — All districts are reporting in Mendham and Chester, and the unofficial results are in for all local elections, per the Morris County Clerk's Office.

In Mendham Borough, current Mayor Christine Serrano Glassner is vying to keep her seat against Democratic challenger Melissa Rawley Payne.

  • Glassner: 1,478
  • Payne: 889

Voters will also be voting for two members of the Mendham Borough Council. Four candidates are running for the two open seats: James R. Kelly, Neil Sullivan, Melissa Young and Melissa Wojcik.

  • Sullivan: 1,335
  • Young: 1,011

In the race for the Mendham Borough seat on the West Morris Regional High School District Board of Education, incumbent board member Thomas R. Brooks is being challenged by Gino Grieco, running under the "Educational, Fiscal Leadership" slogan.

  • Brooks: 1,065
  • Grieco: 809

In the local school board race, four candidates are vying for the three open seats on the Mendham Borough school board. Incumbents Barry Haines and James Gillespie are running for re-election and are being challenged by John E. Vitale and Margery St. John.

  • Gillespie: 1,458
  • Vitale: 1,296
  • St. John: 1,214

In Mendham Township, four candidates are running for the two open seats on the township committee. Thomas Baio, Tracey Moreen, Lauren Spirig and Martin Slayne are all running for three-year terms.

  • Spirig: 1,366
  • Slayne: 1,297

For the local school board race, four candidates are also vying for the three open board seats in Mendham Township. Incumbents Joan Mody, Andrew Christmann, and Rochelle Abraham are all running for re-election and are being challenged by Diana Orban Brown, who is running under the "Transparency For Taxpayers" slogan.

In the year 2023, Chester Township will have a new mayor. Current Mayor Marcia Asdal has declined to run for re-election, but sitting council member Michael Inganamort has run for the Republican nomination to succeed her.

In the race for the seat representing Chester Township in the West Morris Regional High School District Board of Education incumbent board member Michael J Golabek has been ousted by newcomer Peter Pappas, per unofficial results.

In Chester, eight candidates are vying for four open seats on the local school board. Six candidates have filed for the three-year term, and two are running for an unexpired one-year term.

Unofficial results show Mauro-Duffy and Colicchio winning the three-year term and Byszewski winning the unexpired one-year term.
