The towns provided information about COVID-19 boosters and scheduling an upcoming appointment for one.

MENDHAM, NJ — "Boost NJ Day" was created by Gov. Phil Murphy to raise awareness of the one-year anniversary on Dec. 15, 2020, when a Newark University Hospital nurse received her first COVID shot.
In honor of the day, Chester Township shared information with social media followers from New Jersey’s Department of Health about boosters and COVID-19 vaccine walk-in clinics that took place on Wednesday.

Neibart posted a link to a letter from Murphy and New Jersey Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli. In that letter, they said that only 34 percent of New Jersey’s 4.5 million residents who are eligible for booster shots have gotten one. Murphy and Persichilli said that many clinics would have extended hours on Boost NJ Day.
There are several upcoming COVID-19 vaccination clinics for Morris County residents ages 12 and up, for first and second shots, as well as boosters. Pre-registration is required for these clinics, Neibart said.
