Mendham High School's Girls' Senior Cross Country Grabs First Place At Meet

MENDHAM, NJ — West Morris Mendham High School’s Senior Girls’ Cross Country Team placed first overall among senior girl runners, during the 5K at the Bernie Magee Memorial Class Meet.

Hosted by the New Jersey Catholic Track Conference at Oak Ridge Park in Clark this past Saturday, the team scored 39 points, followed by Voorhees High School with 88 and Summit with 98. See the rankings below for the top three teams for senior girls:

Mendham’s Senior Boys Team took the second spot in the 5K overall for senior boys, with 105 points. See the top three teams below and full results here.

Of the 148 runners among senior boys from all participating schools, Thomas Gangemi and Michael Savtchouk were within the top 20, with Gangemi’s time 16:51.00 and 5 points; and Savtchouk’s 17:12.10 and 8 points.

Mendham High School’s Sophomore Boys ranked within the top 10 for sophomores at the 5K, taking the sixth spot as a team, for their 5K results, with 149 points, with two boys in the top 20, out of 153 runners. Justin Bongiovanni ranked within the top 10 runners at 17:39.50 in seventh place, with five points. Justice Hanson took 12th place with 17:53.0 and 10 points.
