Mendham Ski Club Heads Back To Camelback This Season
Registration is on now through Dec. 1 for kids grades 6 through 12 in and outside of Mendham, with six Sundays at Camelback Ski Resort.
MENDHAM, NJ — The Mendham Township Ski Club is planning to be back in full swing, with registration happening through Dec. 1 or until there are 170 skiers signed up.
The price for the six week program for kids in grades 6 through 12 is $450, with an additional $50 per week for 90-minute ski lessons with Camelback Ski Resort staff in Tannersville, Pennsylvania. Transportation and lift ticket costs are included, with no refunds. The cost is for two “Triple Passes” activated on the days of the trip, which David Guida, Mendham Township’s Recreation Director, said could be used separately if a child misses a date with the club.

The Ski Club dates planned in 2022 are: Jan. 9, 23 and 30; and Feb. 6, 13 and 27.
Pick up and drop off happens at the Mendham Township Elementary School at 18 West Main Street, with participants asked to arrive those days at 6:45 a.m., for a 7 a.m. departure to Camelback.
The group will then leave Camelback at about 3 p.m. for the day, with arrival back to the school at about 4 p.m.

The Ski Club is open to Mendham Township and Borough residents for “in town pricing,” though open to kids in other towns, with an out-of-town fee of $25 for those who sign up beyond the Mendhams.
The group is also asking for a notarized Power of Attorney form, in case of emergency, as well as a $5 cash tip for the bus driver, which should be handed in with the Power of Attorney form.
Equipment rentals may also be made through Pelican Sports Center, with more information available on Community Pass.
Registration costs could likely increase after Dec. 1, Guida said, with pricing secured for the Triple Passes. See full details here.
The program is chaperoned, Guida added; and they’re looking for more chaperones to volunteer.
