Downed Tree On Mendham's Ironia Road Closes Roadway For 4 Hours
Mendham Township Police announced the road reopening early Friday afternoon, after JCP&L had been on the scene.
MENDHAM, NJ — A tree in Mendham Township was downed on Friday morning, a four-hour road detour the result.
Just before 8:30 a.m. the Mendham Township Police Department reported that Ironia Road from Burnett Road north to South Road would be closed until further notice, with JCP&L arriving shortly after.

The announcement that the road had reopened was posted at about 12:15 p.m.
While the road was closed, the police department told drivers traveling south from South Road onto Ironia Road they should instead detour to Old Mill Road. Those heading northbound on Ironia Road were told to head to Burnett Road and then Old Mill Road, the police department wrote.
