Morris County Man Killed In Colorado Skiing Collision: Report

John Sherwood was 43 and vacationing with his family.

A Randolph man skiing on vacation at Breckenridge Ski Resort collided with another skier Monday and died as a result of his injuries, according to multiple reports.

John Sherwood, 43, was on an expert trail at the ski resort some time between noon and 12:15 p.m., denverpost.com reported. Sherwood and another skier collided and the New Jersey man was taken to St. Anthony Summit Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, the report said.

The coroner’s office ruled Sherwood’s death accidental and an autopsy is being performed, nj.com reported.

According to his LinkedIn page, Sherwood was a director of systems development for Prudential Financial.

This is the second time in 2016 a skier from northern New Jersey has died in a skiing accident. Frank Maddaloni, 56, of Califon died after crashing into a tree in early February.
