Morristown Man Nabbed In DUI Arrest Had Cocaine With Him, Police Say

A recent traffic stop led to an arrest and multiple criminal charges, Mendham Township police said.

MENDHAM, NJ — A Morristown man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of DUI and for possession of cocaine, Mendham Township police announced Sunday.

Police said a sergeant spotted the man make a traffic violation on Schoolhouse Lane, and pulled him over.

The driver, a 60-year-old whose name was not released, exhibited behavior which the sergeant believed were "signs of recent drug use," a news release said. The man was ultimately arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Following his arrest, the driver was also charged with cocaine possession, police said.

He is being held at the Morris County Jail.
