MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Authorities have identified the motorcyclist killed in a late-night collision on Labor Day as a Morris County resident.

According to New Jersey State Police Detective Jeffrey Lebron, Ronald L. Smith, 51, of Randolph, was killed at 10:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 4, after his motorcycle ran off the roadway.

According to police, the crash happened at 53 Bald Eagle Road in Allamuchy Township, Warren County. According to the preliminary investigation, Smith's Aprilia motorcycle veered off the road to the right and overturned.

While the crash remains under investigation, LeBron stated Smith died as a result of his injuries.
