New Police Officer Takes Oath Of Office In Chester Township
Ryan Moitozo was sworn in as the newest police officer during the Township Council's Tuesday, March 21 meeting.

CHESTER, NJ — A new police officer recently took the oath of office in Chester Township.
Ryan Moitozo was sworn in as the newest police officer during the Township Council's Tuesday, March 21 meeting. Chief Ryan McNamee administered the oath of office in presence of the officer’s family and colleagues.
Before joining the Chester Police Department, Moitozo was a graduate of the Beach Haven Police Department as a Special Officer Class I and Class II.

"I appreciate all the support. I want to thank the mayor and the town council for giving me this great honor to be able to be a part of this community that you've worked so hard to build. I'd like to thank Chief McNamee and the administration at the Chester Police Department for selecting me for this position," Moitozo said.
Following the ceremony, McNamee joked that the addition of Moitozo makes him the sixth Ryan on the police force roster.

Twenty-three officers are currently assigned to the Chester Police Department, which protects the residents of Chester Township and Chester Borough.
Chief Ryan McNamee is the department's commanding officer.
"I'm excited and eager to start my career in law enforcement with the Chester Police Department," Moitozo said.
