New Skin Care Studio Brings 'The Facial Of The Future' To Chester
Karen Aidala, owner of The Alchemie Studio, wants to share her passion for skin care with the people of Chester.
CHESTER, NJ — Karen Aidala, a local entrepreneur, took a chance and followed her heart, moving from her career within the medical world to further pursue her passion for transformative skincare.
Aidala's passion for skin care dates back over 20 years, and it stems from issues she encountered with her own skin at a time when the landscape of skincare treatment was not what it is today.
The Alchemie Studio celebrated its grand opening at 50 Main Street, Suite 7, in Chester last month, generating a buzz among the local skin care community. Aidala hopes that her new shop will enable her to share her passion and industry knowledge with the residents of Chester.

The shop, which is run by Aidala, offers Geneo, also known as "The Facial of the Future," which incorporates three modalities into the treatment: oxygenation, ultrasound penetration and massage.
"I thoughtfully selected product lines and treatments that are results driven without being overly harsh and with overall skin health in mind," Aidala said.

Aidala is a licensed, practicing esthetician and a graduate of the pioneering esthetic school "Christine Valmy." Prior to this endeavor, she spent the majority of her career working in medical settings in Northern New Jersey.
When choosing a location for her first studio, Aidala was drawn to Chester because of its "vibrant and diverse community and culture."
What most excites Aidala about the future of The Alchemie Studio is the potential to create an encouraging community.
According to Aidala, the Alchemie Studio is a skincare facility with the intention of not only transforming skin but also supporting and nurturing guests outside the treatment room.
"I am highly experienced in advanced treatments and modalities; however, even with my vast years of experience, I consider myself a student of her craft; I am always looking for or creating opportunities to grow personally and professionally. My highest intention is to support my guests to embrace and be their own kind of beautiful," Aidala said.
Although the Alchemie Studio's journey has only just begun, Aidala already has plans for expansion and innovation. Currently in the works, is the creation and curation of a holiday pop-up shop.
"The Petite Boutique at The Alchemie Studio will be open every weekend through the holidays, beginning the weekend after Thanksgiving," Aidala said.
