New Starbucks Location In Mendham Borough: What We Know
The chain coffee shop will be opening up in the shopping center on East Main Street, next door to the Kessler Rehabilitation Center.

MENDHAM, NJ — Mendham Borough is getting a Starbucks.
Earlier this month, a sign went up at the former Pet Valu shop, located in the shopping center on East Main Street, letting the public know that a Starbucks is coming in its place in the near future.
While details such as the launch date are still unknown, Patch recently obtained the official plans for the new coffee shop.

According to the application filed with the borough's Joint Land Use Board and engineer, V-Fee Realty Investment has asked to open up a brand new 3,500-square-foot Starbucks café in place of the former pet store.
The new store will operate from approximately 5:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. and staff between 20 and 25 part-time employees.

V-Fee Realty Investment said that there would be no significant changes to the parking allowance for the current structure, and no modifications would be made to the building.
The new Starbucks will have a café section with various seating options available, along with a separate "community room," which will have a conference-style table. The coffee shop will have two public restrooms along with two other employee-only restrooms.
According to Lisa Smith, the Borough's Planning and Land Use Coordinator, the application was ultimately approved by the borough's zoning officer and engineer on Oct. 12.
There is no official word on an opening date or timeline for the new Starbucks, but the sign posted at the new location says "coming soon."
Starbucks officials have said they will focus on running better locations through a stronger operating foundation as the number of stores in the United States approaches 16,300, with a four percent net new store growth projected in 2024 and a long-term goal of 20,000.
Starbucks did not respond to Patch's request for a comment on the new location.
