'Peeping Tom' Charged With Making Child Porn: Mount Olive PD
Police say the investigation started after residents of a Morris County apartment complex complained of a "peeping tom."

MOUNT OLIVE, NJ — An investigation into a "peeping tom" in an apartment complex ended with a Budd Lake man facing several child pornography charges, Mount Olive police said.
Police say Melquan M. Vargas, 23, was arrested after they began investigating complaints that someone was looking in the windows at the Hensyn Village Apartment Complex at the end of 2018.
Vargas was first arrested on charges of having over 50 grams of marijuana on Jan. 16, police say. Police executed a search warrant of his home after that arrest, and police say they found a pound of marijuana in his home. Police say they also found cell phone video of "a juvenile in a prohibited sexual act."
