Police Fishing Frenzy Is Back Again In Mendham Borough
The third annual Fishing Frenzy event returns to Mountain Valley Park on May 7, borough officials said.
MENDHAM, NJ — The Mendham Borough Police Department is hosting its annual Fishing Frenzy community event once again.
The Fishing Frenzy will take place on Sunday, May 7, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mountain Valley Park on Mountain Avenue in Mendham Borough, rain or shine, according to officials.

State law requires that anyone between the ages of 16-69 must have a fishing license, so the event is only open to all children under the age of 16.
All children will be able to fish in the pond, which will be stocked with rainbow trout, golden trout, and monster trout. All event attendees will also receive hot dogs, potato chips, soda, water, coffee, donuts, and ice cream from the police department.

Although there is no fee, participants must sign in before fishing, police said.
Lures and three-prong hooks are not permitted for safety reasons. You will be asked to leave if you are caught using a lure or a three-prong hook.
According to state law, each fisherman may keep up to six trout.
Anyone who owns a fishing pole is encouraged to bring it and join the cops for food, fun and fishing.
