Police Search for Westville Man Arrested, Released on Drug Charges
Jamere Jones, 26, posted bail before police said they found additional drugs and drug paraphernalia in his car.

Mendham Township Police are searching for Jamere Jones, 26, of Westville, whose bail was revoked after police said they found 210 Oxycodone pills, a crack pipe, four fake driver's licenses, a fraudulent prescription blank and a ledger with detailed prescription purchases in his car.
Jones was arrested by township police Wednesday, March 20, and was released after he posted $20,000 bail. After a judge approved a search warrant for his car Friday, March 21, police said they found the contraband and added charges to Jones' arrest.
Bail was raised to $75,000 with no 10 percent option. Since Jones was released on the previous bail, police are still looking for him.

Jones arrested Wednesday night along with Martin Cohen, 41, of Gloucester City. According to Lt. Vito Abrusci, the two were riding in Jones' car when Ptl. Mathew Ambrosi stopped the car for failing to maintain the lane of travel on Coldhill Road at 6:55 p.m.
While Jones tried to find his license, police discovered he had a prescription bottle of Oxycodone in his pocket that was not in his name or in Cohen's name, police said.

According to Abrusci, Officer Ambrosi also found two hypodermic needles. The Morris County Sheriff K-9 unit was called in to assist at the scene.
Jones refused to consent to a search of his vehicle. The car was then impounded pending an application for a search warrant, according to Abrusci.
Jones and Cohen were arrested on charges of possession of narcotics and possession of the needles with suspected controlled dangerous substance residue within them. Jones was also charged with driving with a suspended license, Abrusci said.
Police said Cohen provided a false name, and additional charges were filed. Police discovered he was wanted for a felony parole violation in Pennsylvania and several other outstanding warrants from Pennsylvania and New Jersey, according to Abrusci.
Jones and Cohen were detained at the Morris County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail, which Jones eventually posted.
When a judge approved the search warrant for Jones' car, police found the additional drugs and drug paraphernalia, along with $644, Abrusci said.
Cohen is being charged while still in custody in Morris County Jail.
