Pony Kisses Please Seniors at Mendham Nursing Home

Miniature therapy horses make a visit to the Holly Manor Center.

A group of senior citizens from the Holly Manor Center, in Mendham, spent the afternoon horsing around Sunday when two miniature horses came to visit the nursing home.

The horses, L'il Frank Sinatra and Eeyore, were brought by Hope's Promise as therapy animals, according to The Star-Ledger. Hope's Promise, which maintains a 6-acre property in Chester, brings the horses to disabled children and adults to soothe and calm them.

The horses were brought to the Center so that Hope's Promise could debut Sinatra and Eeyore as the first time they would go on the road to greet people, the Ledger reported. The seniors took well to the horses, petting their heads and kissing them.
