Route 80 Paving To Shut Lanes In Morris For 6 Months
$4.2 million project spans several miles in each direction, drainage work begins this week.

A highway resurfacing project on Route 80 in Morris County will result in lane closures from April until sometime in the fall, the New Jersey Department of Transportation announced.
The work, which will be completed by Intercounty Paving Associates, is scheduled to temporarily close one lane of Route 80 in each direction for drainage and concrete curb work in Netcong, Ledgewood, Roxbury, and Mount Arlington.
Overnight milling and paving will begin from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. weeknights once drainage and curb work is completed, the DOT said.

The project will repave Route 80 westbound from Route 46/Ledgewood Avenue to the Route 206 interchange; and Route 80 eastbound from Route 46/Ledgewood Avenue to Howard Boulevard/CR615.
The project is state-funded at a price of $4.2 million and the lane closures will be reopened after each shift.

Drainage work is set to begin Tuesday, April 12 during daytime hours and will continue “for the next few weeks,” the DOT said.
