Seasonal Treats Are Back In Chester At Taylor’s Ice Cream Parlor

CHESTER, NJ — It’s that wonderful time of year when specialty ice creams make their comebacks for the holidays.

At Taylor’s Ice Cream Parlor open year-round on 18 Main Street, the Christmas season marks the return of some of the tastes synonymous with the holidays.

Marisa Casendino, who started working at Taylor’s part-time when she was a student at Roxbury High School and later purchased the establishment from the past owner four years ago after she graduated from college with her bachelor’s degree, said these flavors have been longtime holiday favorites of Taylor’s customers.

Peppermint Stick, one of the ice cream store’s homemade creations, is Taylor’s most popular seasonal flavor, available now for a limited time:

Egg Nog is another seasonal flavor with hints of nutmeg, Casendino told Patch, that comes around this time of year. Watch it being scooped in the video below:

There are some flavors that have that holiday vibe, Bailey’s Irish Cream one of them, that joined the lineup on Taylor’s regular flavor menu.

Others that are holiday favorites on the regular menu, Casendino said, are Maple Walnut, Pralines and Pistachio.

People can walk in and grab a scoop of these flavors anytime or purchase them in containers to go.

There are also the festive Santa Claus cakes, which are available for pre-order.

Taylor’s has been a cornerstone in the community, overcoming all the supply chain challenges in the pandemic to still deliver the favorite flavors that customers know and love them for.

Casendino said the ice cream shop likes to give back to help community organizations, Sarah’s Fight for HOPE and NJ South Hills Pet Rescue among them.
