Spring Brings Town-Wide Garage Sale In Chester: See The Details

CHESTER, NJ — Homeowners can share their treasures with local bargain-hunters during an upcoming town-wide yard sale in Chester Borough and Chester Township. This event is usually held in the fall, but officials are also holding one in May — just in time to clear your house for spring cleaning.

The Spring Garage & Yard Sale will take place Saturday, May 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a rain date of Sunday, May 19.

Homeowners will set up in their lawns or driveways, with balloons and a yard sign marking their participation in the event. Those who don't have a place to set up at home can reserve a space at the Chester First Aid Squad on North Road.

Lists of participating residences will available at the Borough and Town Halls, and also online after May 14 for those planning where to hunt for amazing finds. Antiques, sporting goods, tools, collectibles, and furniture are just some of the items that will be for sale.

Those looking to sell must register and send in their list of items by May 9. Registration fees are $10 for a home or residence, and $20 to set up a 12' x 12' space at the Chester First Aid Squad (100 North Road).
