Name of the person who nominated the hero:
Carolyn Taylor
Is the nominee considered an “essential worker”?:
No
What does the nominee do for work?:
Joined the Nationwide movement and created FLAG (Front Line Appreciation Group) of Chester Mendham where we buy food from LOCAL restaurants and personally deliver it to Local Front Line Workers such as Hospital workers, nursing home/care workers, Police, Firemen, and First Aid Squads. This benefits both Local restaurants (who receive business in large quantities), as well as Front Line workers who receive free meals
Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
Raised $17,000 and provided just about 900 meals to Front Line workers in just 25 days. He still has consistent donations coming in and a lot of money to spend on more meals for essential workers.
What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
He is a 16-year-old student, and has consistently been an amazing classmate, neighbor and role model for his peers. I find him an amazing young man who has made such an impact for his community in this pandemic. His maturity and consideration for his community is amazing, and he always strives to make a difference.
