Toys For Tots In Full Swing In Mendham: Dates To Know

MENDHAM, NJ — While you’re checking off holiday gifts for family members, don’t forget the kids who aren’t on anyone’s shopping list and pick up some items for the holiday gift drive campaign in Mendham and Chester.

The toy drive is being carried out in collaboration with the Mendham and Chester Food Pantry and will run until Dec. 10.

The police departments will be collecting gifts for kids and teenagers between the ages of 1 and 21.

All toys can also be dropped off directly at the new Mendham Township police headquarters in Brookside next to the town hall or at the Chester police headquarters.

  • Science Sets
  • Craft Sets
  • Other toys
  • Portable Speakers
  • Jewelry or Watches
  • Skin Care Products for Teenagers
  • Water Bottles

All toys must be new and unwrapped to qualify for donation.

Besides dropping off new, unwrapped toys at several drop-off locations, people who want to support the Marine Corps Reserves, Toys for Tots campaign, can also donate online.

The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is an IRS-recognized nonprofit public charity created in 1991. The foundation, created in 1991, uses 97 percent of every donation to buy toys for children in need.

Last year, in the Morris County Toys for Tots, 230,609 toys were distributed to 187,500 children who might not otherwise have gotten any Christmas gifts. Nationally, about 625 million toys were handed out to 291 million kids.
