The #1 Thing Most Youth Athletes Are Missing (This Middletown Camp Fix
Don't wait until high school to fix it—develop athletic foundations now and avoid future frustration.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — If you’re the parent of a middle school athlete, you’ve probably asked yourself:
“Why does it seem like other kids are faster, stronger, and more confident than mine?”
Here’s the truth: It’s not genetics.
It’s not luck.
It’s foundations.
And most kids never build them.

That’s why a team of certified coaches and educators in Middletown created Power & Pride Strength & Speed Camp — a summer training experience designed specifically for grades 6–8 to build real athletic ability, confidence, and injury-resistant strength.
With only 5 weeks left until camp begins and over a dozen athletes already signed up, local parents are urged to act fast.

“The middle school years are the most important window to teach kids how to move the right way,” says coach Marc Rosamilia, a board member of the NJ National High School Strength Coaches Association and head strength coach at Middletown High School North. “You can’t build strength or speed on top of dysfunction. Our camp fixes that.”
Unlike most camps that rely on gimmicks or hype, Power & Pride uses proven, age-appropriate training strategies. Campers learn proper sprint mechanics, bodyweight strength training, jumping, mobility, and safe, foundational lifting techniques — all delivered by certified professionals.
One key advantage? Middletown North Head Track Coach Ray Convey brings decades of sprint coaching expertise, helping young athletes of all ability levels run faster by improving mechanics, posture, and rhythm from day one.
“Even if your child isn’t fast or athletic yet, they’ll leave better than they came in. That’s our goal — progress, not perfection,” Rosamilia adds.
Parents choose Power & Pride not just for athletic gains, but because they see their child come home more confident, more coordinated, and more motivated.
