MIDDLETOWN, NJ — To address the need for more daily parking for commuters, Middletown Township added more parking spaces.

The new parking spaces are in the large train station lot located off Middletown-Lincroft Road near the satellite recycling center, the Township announced Jan. 9 on its Facebook page.

The new spaces are numbered 300-519 and have yellow striping. Look for new signs to come soon. But the parking spaces are there now and available.

"New signage will be installed soon, but the zone, cost and instructions on how to start a parking session remain the same," said the town. "The zone number is 12501 and parking costs $5 per day via the MPay2Park app. After you open the app, you need to log in to your account, click 'Park,' and choose your license plate. Then, enter your zone/space and duration and click on 'Start Now.'"
