Middletown Man Wanted For Stabbing, Police Say
Someone was stabbed Tuesday afternoon on Crystal Court in Middletown, and Middletown Police say they have identified the suspect.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Someone was stabbed Tuesday afternoon on Crystal Court in Middletown, and Middletown Police say they have identified the suspect, who remains at large as of Wednesday.
At 4:28 p.m., Middletown Police responded to a home on Crystal Court for a report of a person who was stabbed. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, who is not being identified at this time, bleeding from multiple stab wounds.
According to information provided by the victim, the suspect is identified as Matthew Royster, 27, of Middletown.

Royster fled the scene prior to police arrival. Royster may be operating a Honda sedan, newer model, color silver or gray, with an unknown New Jersey temporary registration. As of Wednesday afternoon, police have not yet apprehended him.
Police also recovered a knife on scene that they believed was used in the assault.

The victim was treated by Middletown First Aid and paramedics and transported to Hackensack Meridian Health Jersey Shore University Medical Center by medivac. Middletown Police are not releasing any further information about the victim, but did say the victim survived.
