Middletown Residents: Final Registration for Dodgeball Tournament and Toy Drive

It’s the holidays, when everyone wants to help their community and those who are less fortunate. What could be more feel-good than donating toys to children in need... and playing dodgeball?

Get ready for some family fun, Middletown, for the 6th Annual Dodgeball Tournament and Toy Drive, on Saturday, December 13 at Croydon Hall, 900 Leonardville Road, in Leonardo.

This event is sponsored by the Middletown Township Department of Social Services, who are responsible for collecting all of the toys. Families and participants are asked to bring an unwrapped toy to the department. Registration for the dodgeball tournament is $40 per team, with 8 people on a team. The last day for registration is November 24 (See forms below). All Captains (or a representative) must attend the mandatory Captain’s Meeting on Monday, November 24th at 7:00 p.m. in the Tonya Keller Community Center (TKCC), located at 50 Bray Avenue in Middletown.

The tournament and toy drive takes place between 8:00 am. and 4:00 p.m. Division start times will depend on final number of teams. The times listed below are estimates and subject to change.

Divisions:

• Juniors (Grades 1-3) - 9:00 am

• A Little Bit Older (Grades 4-6) - 12:30 pm

• Teen Boys A* (Grades 7-9) - 10:30 am

• Teen Boys B* (Grades 10-12) - 10:30am

• Coed Teens (Grades 7-12) - 12:15pm (Teams must have 2 girls playing in each game.)

• Teen Girls (Grades 7-12) - 1:45 pm

• Family - 3:00 pm. (3 Adults total on roster; No more than 2 playing at a time.)
• Family A: The average age of children must be between 6 & 12.
• Family B: The average age of children must be between 13 & 18.

• Adult (Ages 19+): 6:00 pm (Adult teams may be coed or same gender)

* Please note, if there are not enough teams to register for both the Teen Boys A and Teen Boys B divisions, the two divisions will be combined.
