Monmouth County Native Makes it to Final 4 on TV's "Rising Star"; See Video

This Sunday, West Long Branch native Audrey Kate Geiger will take the stage for her final performance on “Rising Star,” a new singing competition show on ABC. 24-year-old Geiger has made it to the Top 4, and will battle in Sunday’s live finale for the winning spot.

Geiger has been in Los Angeles since mid-June preparing for performances and working with the show’s panel of experts. The experts, hip-hop star Ludacris, country singer Brad Paisley, and pop singer Kesha, have all showed their support for Geiger throughout the competition. In the quarter finals, Paisley offered his praise on Geiger, saying “As we get our legs this first season, we have a couple of stars on this show. You’re one of them.”

Geiger was born and raised in West Long Branch, NJ and grew up with an innate love for the ocean. She currently resides in New York City to pursue her dream of singing, while performing in chosen venues and working as a waitress and yoga instructor.

Audrey Kate is the daughter of Brian and Shawn Geiger, and has one brother, Justin.
