The 7th Annual Free School Supply Event

At the event, Sentinels 16 offices will be giving out free school supplies to Montclair families with school-aged children.

Fourth Ward Councilor Renee Baskerville is pleased to announce the Seventh Annual Free School Supplies event which will take place Sunday, August 24, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., at Charles Bullock School, 55 Washington Street, Montclair. The Sentinels 16, Montclair’s Minority Police Officer Association, sponsors the event.

Sentinels 16 officers will be giving out free school supplies to Montclair families – please register to receive age appropriate backpacks by calling Elaine Spears at the Montclair Neighborhood Development Corporation office:973-744-9094.

PLEASE NOTE: school children must be present to collect their backpacks. Supplies are limited: 300 backpacks will be available for children in grades K-5; 200 will be available for grades 6-12.

In addition, parents will receive free gifts and all are invited to a free cookout with educational games and prizes.
