“Its a wonderful town,” said Hobler. “I really enjoy coming home because there are people who are out and smiling. I love coming home to such a gorgeous and fun town.”
The Folk-pop singer got his start in music when he was 16 years old and began playing in a band.

“A friend of mine asked me if I sang and I said ‘Uhh, yeah.’ Then he asked if I wrote songs and I said ‘Uhh, yeah’ even though I didn’t do either,” said Hobler. “So I basically faked it but no one caught on.”
Years later Hobler is on the verge of releasing his first album, The Elusive Yes, and recently filmed his first music video for a song entitled “See What You’re Doing To Me.”
“The entire process of creating the video was creatively propelling,” said Hobler.
While Hobler will be playing his first Montclair show solo, what he most enjoys about performing is singing with other musicians such as his brother Kieran Hobler and close friend Michelle Amador.
“It’s an insane pleasure to sing with others,” said Hobler. “It’s fantastic and humbling.”
Hobler also enjoys being able to connect with audience members through his music.
“It’s such a pleasure when people come up to me after the shows and say that a particular song moved them or touched them in a certain way,” said Hobler.
Looking to the future, Hobler hopes to continue growing his career, making more music videos and playing more shows in New Jersey and the Tri-State area.Get more local news delivered straight to your inbox. Sign up for free Patch newsletters and alerts.
