UPDATE: One Hurt After Car Flips on Watchung Avenue

On Tuesday July 22, at 4:46 p.m. Dorreth Vassell, a 53 year old Bronx, NY woman, was driving east on Watchung Avenue when she struck a parked vehicle which caused her vehicle to flip over.

The accident occurred at 211 Watchung Avenue, near the Morningside Avenue and Watchung Ave intersection in Montclair. In the vehicle with Vassell were two children, a 4-year-old, who received the only injury, a finger laceration, and an 8-year-old.

All three were transported to Mountainside for evaluation. No other injuries were reported. Vassell, who was driving a 2003 Toyota Camry, was issued a summons for careless driving. The vehicle that was struck was a 2012 Mazda.
