Cadets For a Day: Montville Lax Families Have a Blast at West Point
Youngsters have a great experience in a big-time college lacrosse atmosphere.
Montville lacrosse families recently traveled to West Point to watch then-No. 19 Army against perennial powerhouse and No. 3 Johns Hopkins. Prior to the game, the Montville families tailgated and had the opportunity to meet with players and coaches for a pre-game chalk talk.
The youngsters also watched the drill team practice, and got a chance to pose for a group photo on the Army lacrosse practice field. Prior to the trip home, Black Knight players autographed balls for each player.
Although providing a valiant effort, the Knights could not contain the Blue Jays offensive attack, as Johns Hopkins went on to win the game, 15-10. The game, however, was just part of what was an eventful trip to West Point for the Montville lacrosse families.
