Drunken Driver Pushed Car Off Route 46, Cops Say
Montville man's car found damaged in golf course parking lot.

A Montville man was charged with DWI and leaving the scene of an accident Monday after police said he struck and pushed a car off the roadway of Route 46 West.
Joshua Landsman, 65, was charged by the Fairfield Police Department with driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident and several motor vehicle violations.
According to a report by Deputy Chief Anthony Manna, officers found a woman's 2011 Mazda off the roadway on Route 46 West around 8 p.m. She told police that she was driving in the right lane when her car was struck from behind by a silver Acura and pushed off the roadway, Manna said. The driver of the Acura then continued driving on Route 46 West, the woman reported.

Ptl Jeffrey Didyk soon after found a 2003 silver Acura in the Monster Golf parking lot on Route 46 with heavy front-end damage, Manna said. Landsman was found to be operating the car and was arrested after officers believed he struck the woman's car.
He is scheduled to appear in Fairfield Municipal Court on Thursday.
