Nearly $50K Grant Will Improve 'Quality Of Life' In Moorestown, Official Says

Moorestown's grant came from a pool of Clean Communities funding recently awarded by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — Moorestown recently received $49,857 in Clean Communities grant funding, according to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.

"The [department is] thrilled that we are able to distribute additional grant funds this year to help communities improve their local environments and improve quality of life," said New Jersey Department of Protection (DEP) Commissioner Shawn M. LaTourette.

The funds can be used on projects such as beautifying neighborhoods, improving water quality, enhancing wildlife habitats, enforcing litter and graffiti removal, street sweeping and more, according to LaTourette.
