8 Candidates Chase 3 Seats On Moorestown School Board
No incumbents were among the eight candidates who filed to run for three open seats on the Moorestown Board of Education in November.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — There will be a lot of change in the Moorestown Public School District when the next year begins.
Eight candidates will pursue three open seats on the Moorestown Public School District Board of Education in November, and none of them are incumbents.
Board of Education President Caryn Shaw and Board Member David Weinstein are both up for re-election, but neither board member filed petitions to run by Monday’s 4 p.m. deadline, according to the Burlington County Clerk’s Office.

The new school board members will be joined by a new superintendent. Scott McCartney resigned from the position effective July 1, and Leonard Fitts is serving as the interim superintendent while the board searches for a permanent replacement.
