Ambulance Smashes Into House, Injuring 4 In Burlington Co.: Police

A person inside the home and a patient being treated in the ambulance were among those injured.

MOUNT HOLLY, NJ — Four people were injured when an ambulance smashed into a house Thursday in Mount Holly, officials said.

A different crash sent the ambulance into the house just after 3:30 p.m. on the 900 block of Woodlane Road, according to Mount Holly Police Chief Clifford Spencer.

NBC10 Philadelphia showed the private ambulance wedged inside the home.

The injured parties included a person inside the home and three in the ambulance — the driver, an EMT and a patient being treated during the crash happened. Their injuries don't appear life-threatening, Clifford said Thursday.

"Based on our initial investigation, there are no signs of criminal activity associated with this crash," Clifford said.

The preliminary investigation indicates that two vehicles were involved in a crash that sent the ambulance into the house, police said.

Additional information about the initial crash wasn't immediately available.

Police will release any other relevant information as the investigation progresses, Clifford said.
