Armed Suspects Steal Car After Moorestown Resident Confronts Them: Police

One of the suspects took out a handgun as they entered the garage, authorities said.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — A Moorestown resident confronted burglars in his driveway. The suspects later came back, brandished a gun and stole his car, police said.

The vehicle was stolen April 27 from an Apple Orchard Road home and recovered the next day in Philadelphia. But the investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been announced as of Thursday.

The homeowner's Ring camera detected two males in his driveway at 3:30 a.m. April 27. The suspects were trying to break into a Subaru, police said.

The resident went outside and confronted the suspects, who then fled the area, police said.

Shortly after, both suspects returned and stole a 2023 BMW X4 from the garage. While entering the garage, one of them took out a handgun, police said.

The owners had Starlink GPS, which picked up the stolen vehicle's location in Philadelphia.
