Where/When: Ritz Theater Company, 915 White Horse Pike, Haddon Township; 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13

Why Go: Cats singing! And dancing! Andrew Lloyd Webber's Tony Award-winning musical hits the stage at the Ritz. The classic play was the second longest-running show in Broadway history and has been performed around the world in more than 20 languages.

Where/When: 221 Edgewater Ave, Edgewater Park; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, and 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15

Why Go: The Red Dragon Canoe Club’s historic clubhouse, the Shipman Mansion, will be offering complimentary tours to the public, every weekend in 2012. The house, which has been on both the national and state registries of historic places since 1999, contains a wealth of artifacts, including a fleet of antique racing, sailing and cruising canoes, along with photographs recording some of the history of sailing on the Delaware River. Why Go: Have a way with words (even if you didn't write them)? All poetry and drama lovers are encouraged to attend. Participants are invited to share favorite monologues or sonnets from Shakespeare, classic or original poetry. Refreshments will be served. $5 suggested donation.
